Congratulations to the 2020 BEAM Scholarship Recipient Graduates! (July 27, 2020)

Brayan Divas received his diploma from Mr. Pedro Reyes, M.Ed., Principal of Kings College. He has applied to enter the Coast Guard in Belize.

Brayan has expressed his appreciation for BEAM’s assistance throughout the past few years, which greatly helped him and his parents.

Janelie Matta reached her graduation goal and is looking forward to her future. She plans to attend Sixth Form/Junior College in Belize.

She is grateful to BEAM for their support throughout her schooling and stated that the help she received was a “blessing in her life”.

These are the first graduates BEAM has helped through graduation since the organization’s inception. We wish them only the best in their future endeavors and pray God’s blessings on them throughout their lives.

2019 Fall Scholarship Recipients Chosen


Here are the 2019 scholarship recipients with King’s College president, Mr. Pedro Reyes, following the presentation of their certificates. To his right are Denilson Vasquez, Jeriel Reyes, Nelly Diaz, Kelly Blanco, Janelie Matta, and Bryan Divas.

Students chosen each semester by BEAM for award of financial assistance are required to submit a handwritten letter expressing their need for the scholarship. They must have a grade point average of 75% or higher, and submit a reference letter supporting the student’s good standing. Residential students are awarded $575 (US) and commuting students receive $130 (US) for the semester.   All students must reapply for each semester for future scholarships.

The principal at King’s College, Mr. Pedro Reyes, presented seven students with certificates for financial aid for their first semester of 2017.  BEAM is excited to have been able to help these students, all of whom completed applications and were chosen for assistance to help them complete their education and achieve their goals.  Among the dreams of these students are to become an electrician, an architect, a doctor and teachers.
