BEAM Funding Helps Woman in Need

A Life-Changing Surgery for a Mother of 3

A Life-Changing Surgery for a Mother of 3For twenty years of her life, a Guinea Grass resident endured pain from an external hernia that developed so big that she carried her organs outside her body. The mother of three boys says that aside from the excruciating pain, the public stares were a challenge so she mostly kept at home. Today, when we caught up with Maria Medina, her world has changed. She successfully underwent surgery at the K.H.M.H. where the massive lump was removed and she can now move around as a normal person. News Five’s Duane Moody has the following uplifting story.

BEAM helped with the funding for the hernia surgery for Maria and is thankful the surgery was completed safely and successfully to allow Maria to begin living her life normally again! Praise be to God!

Youth Rally – Ebenzer Evangelical Church, Chan Pine Ridge Village, Orange Walk

On November 17, 2018, Ebenezer Evangelical Church hosted a youth rally. Eight churches from Orange Walk and Corozal attended. A musician and preacher were invited from Guatemala.

Many different activities were enjoyed by all in attendance; however, the most important part of the day was the sharing of the Gospel during the preaching service. Many shared their desire to walk with the Lord and live for His glory.

BEAM partnered with the Ebenzer Evangelical Church to help with the costs of the rally. The funds helped toward the costs of the transportation and a gift for the guests from Guatemala, cleaning of the facilities, food, drinks, trophies and prizes for the day.

Gene’s Recent Trip to Belize, January 2018

Gene Grapa visited Belize in January 2018 and was able to share the Gospel with the students at King’s.

On Gene’s visit, he was privileged to be able to visit some of the parents whose children received financial aid from BEAM for their tuition at King’s College.  Carmen Divas, mother of Sheyla Ruiz (Form 2), one of the recipients of this aid, expressed her thankfulness for the help this has given their family.

Another blessing for Gene was the opportunity to visit with Maria Divas, mother of Brayan Divas (Form 2), who also received aid for his tuition at King’s.  She, too, is very grateful for the help they received.
